Pan and Syrinx statues of Greek mythology made of rusty iron. Life size!
In Ovid's Metamorphoses, the naiad Syrinx spurns the love of the shepherd god Pan as a follower of the virgin Artemis, to whose entourage she belonged. While fleeing from him, she is turned into reeds at her request by the Ladon River. As the frustrated god's breath passes through the reeds, a poignant sound is created. Pan then cuts reeds and, with the help of wax, makes the shepherd's flute Panpipe, called the syrinx, and plays his songs on it (source Wikipedia).
Quality handcrafted from stainless steel. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
The Hungarian artist's extraordinary garden figures are handcrafted unique pieces. The sculptures are made using traditional handcrafting techniques. They are made either from rust-proof stainless steel or from steel (St37) which is treated with acid to create the attractive rust patina. The rusty sculptures are given a protective layer to increase the lifespan of the figures (approx. 50 years). Appropriate fastening devices for floor or wall mounting are already included on site in the form of screws or eyelets, so that the sculptures can be easily mounted in the garden.
